Management Training FAQ

Answers to the questions we hear most often from HR directors, team leaders and individual managers considering our programs.

Common questions

We cap every session at twelve participants. This keeps the ratio of practice time to lecture time high and gives each person direct coaching attention from the facilitator. For in-house programs we sometimes run two parallel groups of twelve if you have a larger cohort, each with its own facilitator. We do not combine strangers into groups larger than twelve under any circumstances because the role-play exercises lose their value when people cannot get enough turns.
Yes. We run live facilitated sessions over Zoom in groups of up to ten (slightly smaller than in-person to account for the limitations of video). The format mirrors our face-to-face programs: short input segments, breakout rooms for paired role-play exercises, and plenary debrief rounds. Online participants also receive two individual 30-minute coaching calls between sessions. We do not offer pre-recorded or self-paced courses because our approach depends on live interaction and real-time feedback.
Our two-day open-enrolment programs start at $1,650 per person plus GST. The five-day intensive is $3,400 per person plus GST. Both prices include all materials, workbooks, and 90 days of email follow-up support. In-house programs for teams of eight or more are quoted per engagement based on duration, customisation requirements, and whether travel is involved. We provide a detailed proposal within five business days of your initial enquiry.
Every participant who completes a program receives a digital certificate of completion that can be shared on LinkedIn or included in professional development records. Our programs are not nationally accredited qualifications; they are professional development courses focused on practical skill-building. Several clients have used our certificates to satisfy CPD requirements with their professional associations, but you should check with your specific association to confirm eligibility.
Absolutely. About 60 per cent of our work is customised in-house delivery. The process starts with a 90-minute scoping call where we interview the sponsoring manager and, ideally, two or three prospective participants. We use that input to select the right modules, adjust the case studies to reflect your industry, and write role-play scenarios based on situations your managers actually face. Customisation adds roughly two weeks to the lead time and is included in the quoted fee for in-house programs.
Our participant base is broad. We have delivered programs for federal government agencies, mid-size technology companies, aged-care providers, construction firms, and professional services partnerships. The management challenges we address (delegation, feedback, conflict, meeting facilitation) are not industry-specific, but we tailor examples and language to each client's context so the learning feels immediately relevant rather than generic.
For open-enrolment programs: cancellations made more than 14 days before the start date receive a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days receive a 50 per cent refund or a free transfer to a future session. No-shows forfeit the full fee. For in-house programs, cancellation terms are set out in the engagement agreement and typically require 21 days notice for a full refund. We understand that plans change, and we try to be flexible wherever we can.
Each participant sets two or three specific behavioural goals during the program. At 30 and 90 days after completion, we send a short self-assessment survey and, if the sponsoring organisation agrees, a parallel survey to each participant's direct reports. We compile the results into a summary report for the sponsor. This is not a vanity metric exercise: we track whether participants are actually using the techniques they practised, and we offer a free one-hour coaching call to anyone who reports they are struggling to apply what they learned.
Our training centre is at 26 Bailey Terrace in Lake Savannahberg, ACT. It has two purpose-built training rooms, breakout spaces, and on-site catering. For in-house programs we come to your premises anywhere in Australia, provided you have a room that seats twelve comfortably with space for small-group breakout work. We have also delivered programs at conference venues and retreat centres when clients prefer an off-site setting.
